About the Project

The Robotics Rocks grant supports an extremely wide range of students from middle school through high school across a total of six different schools in the Covina USD. Few schools have the budget to start, much less maintain, a robotics program. This grant ensures that robotics programs would be firmly established across our entire school district. Currently, one high school and middle school maintain active robotics programs. This grant, in addition to supporting the existing two, would also establish four additional robotics programs at the remaining middle and high school campuses. The two existing programs would serve as “training hubs” for the other four schools. Students at the training hubs will function as teaching assistants in training students from the other schools in how to build and code the robots and get them ready for competitions.
