About the Project
This grant would use existing and new infrastructure at Shasta High School to create a garden site, which will include a composting site, and fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs. This project will include a variety of departments, including science, cad/engineering, special education and culinary arts. The goal is to bring sustainability, enviro-science and the farm to fork movement to life on our campus. Together, teachers and students from our four departments will be researching, designing, building, planting, maintaining, and harvesting food from our school garden.
