We believe collaboration with the families and community that surround a school is essential so we offer organizing grants to build sustainable partnerships between teachers and community organizations.
CTA’s IFT funding has made it possible for us to expand meaningful community-engaged arts programming across our schools. With Sew Loka, schools created upcycled wearable artworks exploring themes of remembrance and resilience for our Old Town San Diego’s Dia de los Muertos exhibition. CTA also supported our participation in the city’s first-ever Slow Fashion Day…Together, these initiatives have strengthened student learning in creativity, cultural storytelling, and environmental responsibility.”
