About the Project
First-graders are passionate about coding. They love to program using apps on their iPad and create new animations and games while moving characters from one place to another. Coding is a powerful skill that has much potential to lead to new learning and future success. This project takes coding to a higher level. Students at Solana Ranch Elementary will be given the opportunity to link coding with the engineering design process through the “Little Bits” coding kits. Students will be able to physically invent something and bring it to life through coding. The coding projects enhance 21st-century learning skills, like collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving.
