About the Project

This project brings STEM to San Ysidro Middle School students through building remote controlled submersibles through the Seaperch program. All students will build a submersible and remote-controlled device from individual parts. They will use tools that will give them future real-life experience in ship building, submarine building, math, science, robotics, blueprint reading and designing. Hopefully, they will compete in a Seaperch competition in which they will use their built remotely operated vehicle (ROV). Students need hands on experience in STEM and building this device gives all students this opportunity.
