About the Project
This grant would supply materials to allow an innovative middle school, Thomas Page Academy, to build a comprehensive enrichment program enabling students to explore science and technology in a hands-on fashion. A robotics/coding program would benefit students by exposing them to situations that require the use of creativity, thinking skills, and the ability to persevere through tough situations. The middle school team has begun to teach students the process of coding, using online sites to engage the students. Lego Mindstorms Education kits would allow us to foster critical thinking skills that are expected by business leaders today.
