About the Project

“Comunidades Unidas a Traves del Bilinguismo” is a project that empowers high school students in Anaheim High School’s Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program. These bilingual ambassadors will create activities that focus on the cultural aspects of Spanish speaking countries for elementary students in Anaheim Elementary SD. Using their Spanish language ability, students will capitalize on this positive trait and make the DLI program more inclusive through the activities they sponsor throughout the year. The positive attributes of DLI will be illustrated, more stakeholders will have a better understanding of DLI, and membership to this program will increase as students from AESD are exposed to the many benefits of being bilingual and biliterate.
