About the Project

The Peer Mentoring Co-Op at Thousand Oaks High School connects socially at-risk students and trained student-leaders through daily activities to build communication skills, develop self-confidence, and strategies for maximizing connections on campus. The opportunity to develop social skills and confidence in students has the potential to revolutionize their personal experience, while transforming the culture on campus. Students form committees and develop student-centered programs to support social-emotional wellness for the campus and community. The power of students helping students is exponentially impactful and necessary to demonstrate that each student on campus is important. The Peer Mentoring Class will implement cutting-edge student-centered programs: “Every Lancer, Every Day”.
